私家醫院

小孩發燒，在香港急症醫院分流的情況:

上月家中9個月大的小孩發燒超過39度(較大機會留院)，買了醫療保，打算到私家醫院(私院)，但竟然沒有床位?! 驚
之後去了最近的公立醫院(公院)，緊急都要等2.5小時，有很多病人輪候。嚇。
以下是私院的電話以查詢有沒有嬰兒或兒科床位。打電話要先告知，兒科發燒/其他狀況，請問有沒有兒科床位?

寶寶保險

保險分4大類:
1. 人壽
2. 危疾
3. 意外
4. 醫療 (住院/醫生診所)

1. 人壽
很少會為寶寶買，因沒有什麼債務如物業按揭要供，所以無需要買。

2. 危疾
有較多預算的父母可考慮，因年紀越少，保的範圍是最大的(在沒事發生時/器官完全健保時)。但一包括危疾的話，因有儲蓄成份，通常最便宜也要港元800以上。

3.意外
9個月左右開始爬來爬去，是時候要買醫療/意外保。意外的補償會比較足，拱杆效應較強(即付幾百每個月，一宗/一日幾千補償，實報實銷)。保單一買便生效。

4.醫療
住院:
醫療保是去醫院時，無論疾病或意外而入院也可索償，但補償金額較低。所以如因意外入院，應先申報意外，但要留意意外賠償得多，保險公司可能不續保。注意:有15天調查期，從買保單那天開始計，15天內有什麼事入院都不能索償。
醫生診所:
有沒有需要長期定期睇醫生的需要?如有嚴重哮喘，濕疹等，每月都打算去私家用好點的藥就可以考慮醫療保的醫生網out patient, 約2500港元一年，約睇10次醫生回本。寶寶第1年有買，但發現不太划算，和自己出錢睇差不多，還要到指定醫生診所。

注意保險公司一定要賣人壽單，無不續保的理由，其他類型的保單有可能不續保。有些保險公司保証續保，買時要看清楚條款。
本人現時大約用500港元買意外及醫療。另用約2500港元買醫生網計劃，但打算不續保。

本人不是保險經紀，純粹分享自己的經歷與拙見。

Geography
1. Teach the earth, the globe

Use a ballon to show 3d to 2d.

2. The earth is made of land, water, air
What lives on land (also talk about transportation), in water, in air
Air is everywhere, invisible. Show Pictures of land, sea and air for little casa 3 years old. Sorting for them for Casa 4 years old.
Animals of the contenient/world, matching

Introduce Asia, have a folder with 5 curriculum. Like having meal, bowls and chopsticks. Use money.

Use spices or tea leaves. With a control card. Jars can be opened and smell inside. Animals in asia with pictures. National flags of Asian countries. Language. Teach them to say hello in different language. Song: say hello in different languages. Festival and celebrarion.

History
Talk about, yesterday. Use calendar. Cross out the date. Pictures recall when birthday celebration. Children are excited when it’s they birthday as they are egocentric (the center of the universe). Tell there are 12 months in a year. Sing “January to December” (indian song). Write something for every birthday.
Daily routine. Sleeping, wake up, brush teeth, eat lunch, doing homework, playing with siblings, then sleep. Use age and golden beads (maths in concrete way)
4-5 years old teach the clock.
Linking geography with history.

Sciene
Hot and cold. Seasons, clothes they wear.

Different experiments, mixing colours with rice or salt (children should know primary colours are red, blue and yellow), sorting hard and soft objects, materials (magnetic and non magnetic). **Ask them to guess first.

How water can change from liquid to solid, solid to liquid, and gas stage of matter. Ice, water and steam.
Sink and float. Make sure the container is deep enough to show the extreme. Ask children to guess. Objects in box 1 has different types of material. Shape and wet/dry. Box 2 : different kinds of ball, depends what material. Box 3: wood materials. All will float.
Soluable and insoluble, eg salt and oil.
Air, eg use a cup od water and place a handkerchief on top of the cup. If no air, the handkerchief will wet.

3. Like pregnancy, need to wait (process) and the child will be born (predictions)
4. Interdependence
Aware of the global warming. Polar bear life changes, etc. Talk about reduce, recycle and reuse.

Zoology talks about farm animals
3 period lessons: 1. brainwashing (repeating this is a… x7) , 2. what’s this? (ask the child to identify the object, by pointing or placing), 3. Ask the child to name it. If wrong, back to step 1.
Beware not to teach similar things in the same time, like horse and donkey.

Mammies and babies. Horse’s baby , 5 little piggies this little piggy went to market, stay at home, has roasted beef, has none, cried wee wee wee all the way home.
Horse foal, chicken chick, sheep lamb.
Where do the animals sleep? Horse stable, duck lives in ponds or lake, dog kennel, heen coop, cow shed, sheep farm, cat basket.

Use the animal models. Sea animal, sea lion is larger than seals. Sea lion has ears and very noisy. Sea tortis has flippers and can swim.
Parts of animal body, then termalogy when 3 years old. Mammals then birds.
What are birds? Have beaks and feathers.
Book recommends for more than 5 years old: Monkey puzzle. A butterfly trying to help a baby monkey to find its mother.
Butterfly cycle

Matching insect models and pictures. Insect book. 6 legs. Spider is not an insect is an arachnid.
Frog life cycle

Activity: The sun game for 4 years old, the independence of sun
Class 1 plants, class 2 herbivores. Class 3 predators eat meat.
